Hello! Welcome! My name is Caitlin Blake and I am originally from Grafton, Ohio, which is about 30 minutes west of Cleveland. I love everything about Cleveland and Ohio and will always call that place my home. I graduated from Magnificat High School in 2006 and then went on to get my Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University in 2010. I absolutely adore children and want to someday teach. However, along my undergraduate journey, I found a passion and love for college students and working with them. I love the joy that they bring to every situation, and watching them develop into young adults is so rewarding. As I am trying to figure out who I am and what I will do in the future, I know that an institution of higher education can provide me with so many outlets. I just graduated from the BGSU College Student Personnel program, and I am very close to starting my career in student affairs.
In undergrad, I was highly involved in my living learning community for education majors. I was the chancellor of the executive board, and loved being a leader on that team. I was also an RA, which really drew me into residence life and working on a college campus. Being an RA was the best job I have ever held and I hope that the RAs that work for me will have that same experience.
In my free moments, spending time with my family and friends is really important to me. Whether that is eating at a new restaurant, going to a country concert, or having a deep discussion about life, you can always find me with others. I also love puppies, the color pink, and a good TV series. I hope you enjoy my portfolio and learn a bit about my experiences in graduate school and in my internship at Bluffton University.
